The dessert is a nod to the Aussie ice-cream classic, with an adult twist, featuring defined layers of chocolate sponge, Valrhona chocolate, vanilla and raspberry semifreddo. Charli XCX and Acne Studios If you needed proof beyond her recent seven Grammy nominations that Charli XCX is on fire, she’s just been named the new face of Swedish luxury fashion house Acne Studios. The campaign, shot by New York fine art photographer Talia Chetrit, is “an offbeat insight into the life of a prolific artist” in which the singer is pictured in the label’s signature products, such as its coated iridescent and paint-splattered trompe l’oeil jeans. Acne also dressed Charli XCX in custom outfits for her recent Sweat tour with Perth-raised star Troye Sivan. Secret Opera West Australian Opera is launching a tantalising Secret Opera concept next year, where an audience of only 100 people will be led from a mystery meeting spot to a secret location to watch an undisclosed artist perform. The first outings will be from February 14-16 as part of Perth Festival, with more to come during the year. The company will open its season with a swashbuckling production of The Pirates Of Penzance starring Ben Mingay, followed by the classic Madama Butterfly before closing with Verdi’s masterpiece Il trovatore, led by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra’s principal conductor Asher Fisch. Jordy Hewitt print shop West Australian artist Jordy Hewitt has developed an avid following for her kaleidoscopic textured paintings.
