TV presenter Jacqueline Felgate reveals Covid-19 diagnosis
Television presenter Jacqueline Felgate has revealed she recently tested positive for Covid-19.
The double-dose vaccinated Seven news and sport presenter made the announcement on Instagram, saying it happened during the holiday period.
“It’s been nice to be back at work this weekend,” she wrote.
“While I’ve been answering all your questions, I also tested positive for Covid over the holidays.
“I’m fully recovered and I’m really grateful for the wonderful support from The Alfred Hospital (a doctor or nurse rang every day and you also fill out a health questionnaire).”
Ms Felgate also thanked friends who helped her family during her isolation period.
She also voiced frustration over delays to the vaccine rollout, which meant she was only eligible for her booster this week.
“I’m of course double vaxxed with AZ — but due to the delay for under 40s, I wasn’t due for my booster until this week,” she said.
“That’s why I had so much time to answer all your queries about testing sites and rapid tests.”
Ms Felgate shared two photographs with her post — one was her back at work and the other showed a non-filtered image of her at a Covid-19 testing line.
Victoria recorded 8577 new cases and three deaths on Monday.
There are 56 people in intensive care, with 24 on a ventilator.
