Man, 45, suspected to have drowned after body found in Mandurah estuary on Waterlily Drive in Dudley Park

A 45-year-old man has been found dead after a suspected drowning in a Mandurah estuary. Police said that the man was pulled from the water near a jetty on Waterlily Drive in Dudley Park about 6.35pm on Wednesday. While the cause of death is still to be determined, it is suspected he drowned. It is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be prepared for the coroner. It is the latest water tragedy in a horror summer in WA in January. Tyler Jury, 17, drowned at Lake Leschenaultia, Sio Afamasaga, 22, died after he was caught in a rip in City Beach and Olya Tikhanova, 40, drowned after being swept off rocks at Salmon Beach near Esperance. Perth couple Mohammad Shahidul Hasan Swapan, 44, and Sabrina Ahmed, 40, died while saving their daughter at Conspicuous Cliff Beach near Walpole.
