GNFL 2025 season preview: GNFL president Carrissa Bellottie’s take on ‘competitive’ and ‘exciting’ year ahead

GNFL president Carrissa Bellottie is preparing for season 2025 as excitement builds with multiple off-season player movements, club shake-ups and new contenders in 2025.
There has been plenty of player movement during the lead up to the new season, including some big names which have opened the door for a tight competition.
Bellottie said she was keen to see how teams fared with player movements during the off-season.
“We, as the board are looking for another great season and I think it will be a very competitive one,” she said.
“I am excited to see how the competition fares with the movement of players that we have seen during the off-season.
“It should excite fans and open the door for new contenders which will be exciting to see.”
Bellottie said the competition and Mid West football was in good health.
“I think we are doing pretty well at the moment in terms of numbers and interest in the game here in the Mid West,” she said.
“The game continues to grow and evolve which opens the door for changes.
“Numbers are good, it’s just a case of continuing to support the game here.”
