Huge $50m lotto win unclaimed as South Australian takes top prize
A punter in South Australia is sitting on a $50m winning lotto ticket.
The ticket purchased in South Australia claimed the top prize in Tuesday’s monster draw.
“A mystery player joined the multi-millionaire club by winning $50m, but they possibly don’t know it yet,” The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said.
“If the elusive player had registered their ticket, officials from The Lott would have reached out to them tonight to confirm the life-changing news.”
The winning numbers were 1, 29, 20, 23, 34, 46 and 39, while the supplementary numbers were 42, 43 and 24.
The Lott has paid out $436m last financial year. The payouts encompassed 292 division one winners and 158 people won more than $1m.
Commenting via a statement from The Lott, a Sydney nurse who won $107m in 2019 said in the two weeks it took for the money to come through, she found a financial adviser “who I really trusted”.
The nurse has kept the windfall secret from most people in her life.
“Only a handful of people know.”
