VideoGalston couple’s bedtime rocked by $40 million Oz Lotto win.

A local Lotto winner plans to celebrate his win with a fancy breakfast.

The winner from Perth’s north scooped a cool $1.2 million in Saturday’s jackpot after buying the ticket online.

When picking up his seven-figure windfall at Lotterwest’s headquarters, he revealed that he would start spending the cash by treating his family to a luxurious breakfast.

“I’ve been playing for around 20 years,” he said.

“I checked my ticket on the phone and it said winner — but no prize amount. From there I had a funny feeling.

“I checked the numbers and discovered I had won and thought to myself, ‘Oh well done’.”

It comes after a woman from Perth’s south, who won $20,000 every month for 20 years after buying a Set For Life ticket in Como, revealed that she never intended to scoop the prize.

“I buy Lotto for charity, it was never my intention to win,” she said.
