Hedland police dog Maygar assists with arrest

Hedland’s newest canine recruit has assisted police with the arrest of a woman during a vehicle stop in South Hedland on Wednesday.

It is understood the 46-year-old woman was not authorised to drive the vehicle, which has been seized for 28 days, along with a small quantity of illicit drug paraphernalia.

The woman will participate in a drug diversion program later this month.
