The Hedland Water Polo Association had some mixed results over the weekend, with some blowouts and some close games.

In the women’s league, the Piranhas defeated the Vipers fairly easily, 12-5, with Brooklyn Mitchel proving how valuable she is to the team, scoring four goals.

The other women’s league game saw the Aztecs beat the Orcas 10-7, Kathryn Fisher scored five of the seven Orcas’ goals but it wasn’t enough to bring it home against the Aztecs.

In the men’s league, the Black Stars and the Dragons drew 5-5 in one of the most intense games of the season. Clearly a little exhausted from their first game, the Dragons lost to the White Pointers 8-2 in the second, an unsurprising result considering the strength of the Pointers, and the requirement of the Dragons to play two games.
