Port Hedland displays clean up at annual festive lights competition, people’s choice voting now open

If Christmas has snuck up on you this year and you’re looking for ways to find that festive feeling, look no further — the Town of Port Hedland Festive Lights competition winners have been announced.

The award for the best residential display went to 20 Rogers Street in Port Hedland for their stunning display over their two storey property, while 6 Nerus Court, also in Port Hedland came second.

The Courthouse Gallery and Studio on 16 Edgar Street was named the best business display,

Mayor Peter Carter praised the quality of entrants in the competition this year.

“The time and effort people put into their displays is amazing,” he said.

“The Festive Lights competition is about celebrating the festive spirit and bringing our community together and I’m sure everyone who gets out to have a look at all the displays won’t be disappointed.

Voting for the People’s Choice category opens on Thursday, 8 December.
