A protest over dust levels in Hedland is planned for this weekend.

The protest comes as submissions of the Dusk Taskforce Management Report come to a close.

The report is the culmination of more than seven years of dust monitoring and follows a Health Department assessment in 2016 which found that dust levels in Port Hedland could have negative effects on health.

The march will which kick off outside BHP Billiton at 10am on Saturday, and 10am in the carpark of The Esplanade Hotel on Sunday.
