Despite Port Hedland’s turtle nesting season coming to a close, the efforts to help them continue as Care For Hedland prepares for its annual quiz night.

The environmental association holds the quiz night each year to support its turtle monitoring program.

The first fundraising event of the year will see the C3 Church covered in green as the night’s theme, with a prize up for grabs for the best-dressed table.

Care For Hedland co-ordinator Jo Smith urged people to become involved in any way they could.

“The quiz is always a great night, with games, raffles and silent and live auctions throughout the evening,” she said.

“This event will help to raise much-needed funds to support Care For Hedland’s ongoing efforts to monitor and secure the future of flatback turtles in Port Hedland.

“Support this great cause and book your table today.”

Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start on Saturday, March 17, with tickets starting at $15 per person and $110 for a table of eight.
