Water lines upgrade
The Water Corporation has completed work on a number of water main upgrades to boost the Town of Port Hedland’s reliability of water supply.
Water Corporation North West regional manager Rino Trolio said the $26 million East Pilbara Water Supply Scheme would provide consistent water pressure to residents and businesses in the Port Hedland area.
“I want to thank the people of Port Hedland for their patience and understanding during this essential upgrade to the local water supply, which will ensure this important infrastructure will continue to supply water for many decades to come,” he said. Work to replace 1.1km of water pipeline along Lukis and Sutherland streets in Port Hedland was completed last month, along with 4.5km of water pipeline in South Hedland.
