Ball gives punters a stylish start to race round
More than 200 revellers attended the annual Marble Bar Ball on Friday night, kicking off the weekend’s race round in style.
Entertainment was provided by Perth rock band Broken Tides, while a smorgasbord of food including beef provided by Yarrie Station was served up to guests.
The annual presentation of belle and beau of the ball this year honoured Pilbara pilot Ross McDowell, with wife, Chrissie, accepting the award for beau in tribute to her late husband.
Newman’s Lisa Jeffery took out the title of belle of the ball, with a sequinned red, floor-length gown and purple feather addition cementing her win.
