Conditions right for Hedland Open
The Continental Hedland Tyres Port Hedland Golf Club Open drew a field of 72 competitors at the weekend.
With good weather throughout the competition, the scores from the players were reflective of this.
The men’s A-grade gross winner was Vaughan Smith with a gross score of 143 from Lincoln Tavo on 147.
The ladies’ A-grade winner was Kerrie Eichorn on gross score of 161 from Gina Hipworth on 166.
The A-grade men’s net winner was Rob Hinchcliffe on 128 net from Craig Watson on 135 net.
The ladies’ A-grade net winner was Natalie Devenish on 144 net from Janice Bentley on 149 net.
Men’s B-grade winner was Mark Worthington on 79 points from Norm Kenny on 77 points.
Ladies’ B-grade winner was Monica Plane on 63 points from Jemma Gibbs on 59 points.
In the men’s C-grade competition, it was Josh Giles who won with 85 points from Josh Hausler on 84 points.
