Driver breaches entrance wall
A SOUTH Australian man wrote off his Land Cruiser and
smashed through the South Hedland entrance wall when his
vehicle crashed into it at high speed last week.
The accident occurred about 9.50am on Thursday at the
North Circular roundabout.
The man was travelling from Port Hedland to South Hedland
and was observed weaving in and out of traffic before failing
to take the roundabout.
Police estimate the man was travelling at 150 to 160km/h.
The driver rolled the vehicle into the centre of the roundabout,
spraying fragments from the wall into the road.
He received only minor injuries.
No one else was hurt.
