Drugs, cash seized after breath test

Drugs and cash were seized on Wednesday last week when police conducted a breath test on Hamilton Road in South Hedland.

More than $2000 and close to 3 grams of Methyl Amphetamine as well as MDMA were allegedly found in an orange Ford Falcon sedan after a roadside drug test on the 26-year-old driver allegedly provided a positive result for meth.

The car was searched and a quantity of the drug was allegedly found in a magnetic key container.

Further searching allegedly revealed a large quantity of money as well as another clip seal bag containing more drugs.

The man, who is currently subject to schedule two bail and a conditional release order, was refused bail and appeared in South Hedland Magistrates Court on Thursday last week.

He was charged with possessing a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply, possession of a prohibited drug and possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property.
