Fans enjoy Karnivool gig

Local Karnivool fans packed an intimate show at the Pier Hotel on Friday night hoping for a taste of the Aussie rock legends’ upcoming album.

The tour, which began in Geraldton last Wednesday, marked the powerhouse quintet’s first series of Australian shows since their sold-out Themata Decade Tour in 2015.

With their ARIA Award-winning album Asymmetry more than two years old, Pilbara fans were among the first to hear new live material by Karnivool.

Revellers were not left disappointed, with an energetic set offering retro glimpses back to the band’s heavier debut album Themata.

After finishing their tour in WA, Karnivool will head to South Africa before buckling down in the studio to finish recording their new album.
