A public hearing on the Federal Parliament’s inquiry into the use of fly-in, fly-out in regional Australia will be held in Port Hedland tomorrow (Thursday).

The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Regional Australia is investigating the impact of FIFO on individuals, families, companies and communities.

Members of Federal Parliament visiting Port Hedland for tomorrow’s hearing include committee chairman and key independent Tony Windsor, Labor MPs Steve Gibbons and Kirsten Livermore, Liberal MPs Barry Haase and Dan Tehan, and Nationals MPs Tony Crook and Michael McCormack.

Members of the community will have the opportunity to make short statements of no more than three minutes to the committee, and are asked to arrive early and register with the secretariat if they wish to speak.

The hearing will start from 1pm tomorrow at the Port Hedland Civic Centre.
