Is any of this yours?
Thousands of dollars worth of allegedly stolen property was found by police on Sunday when they issued a search warrant at a South Hedland house.
Items including computers, tablets, radios, phones, televisions, light bars and memorabilia were in the haul, all believed to belong to Hedland locals.
Port Hedland Sergeant Jayd Morawski said the outcome was great for police, but also put a dent in the trade of stolen or unlawful property circulating in the community.
He said police were calling on community members to come forward if they believed any of the items belonged to them.
“Some of the stuff is worth more to people than the dollar value,” he said.
“These items are believed to be property stolen from vehicles, houses and accommodation providers.
“It’s a reminder to the community to lock your houses, lock your vehicles and don't leave things lying around.
“But secondly, if you've been the victim of a theft recently, please contact South Hedland Police Station to see if any of this is yours.”
Police will start sifting through the property this week, looking for serial numbers or identification and attempting to match them up with previously reported property stolen.
Sgt Morawski said police hoped to see all items returned to their rightful owners.
Inquiries are going on in relation to the warrant, but he said a 32-year-old man was assisting police.
