Hedland real estate agent Caine' Otley' says owners of rental properties are bringing their business to him because MACRO Realty has closed its property management arm in the Pilbara.

TheTelegraph sought to confirm with MACRO if it had closed its Hedland rental management business, but did not receive a reply by the time the paper went to print.

However, Mr Otley’s comments were corroborated by another well-placedTelegraph source, who also confirmed MACRO Realty had closed its Hedland office and property management division.

“We picked up six (properties) that were previously managed with MACRO,” Mr Otley said.

“From the letters I have seen (sent to these) owners, (MACRO) have pulled their property management division out of the Pilbara to concentrate on other areas.”

Reports of MACRO’s rental division closure come as the group also operates a separate development arm, called MACRO Realty Developments, which has been promoting a residential subdivision in Newman.

MACRO Realty Developments also committed $250,000 sponsorship to the Town of Port Hedland’s 2016 North West Festival music concert.

Town acting chief executive Chris Linnell said MACRO Realty Developments continued to be an important partner of the festival.
