A new Pilbara Development Commission promotion is offering two people the adventure of a lifetime.

The campaign, called My Pilbara Adventure, was launched on Saturday, October 28 at the IGA Perth Royal Show and aims to boost tourism in the Pilbara.

To kick off the campaign, the PDC are offering an all-expenses paid holiday for two throughout the Pilbara

Town of Port Hedland chief executive Mal Osborne said the whole world deserved to have the chance to explore the Pilbara's natural landscapes and experience the rugged resource industry in action.

"The Town has been working on its own tourism initiatives and over the past three years we have seen an increase in the number of cruise ships stopping in the town carrying passengers from all over the world, the reopening of the redeveloped Port Hedland Visitors Centre and a high level of interest from a number of investors looking to build hotels and short-stay accommodation in the town," he said.

The 12-day Pilbara Adventure competition closes on Friday, November 29, and entries can be submitted online at www.mypilbaraadventure.com.au .

The winning couple will be able to redeem their holiday in 2014, with their adventure starting in Port Hedland, travelling to national parks and heritage sites and ending in Karratha.
