Police are investigating a fire on the outskirts of Two Mile last night.

Senior Sergeant Dean Snashall said a 21-year-old South Hedland woman came to the police station about an hour after the incident was reported.

“We’re still in the interview process,” Snr Sgt Snashall said. No one has been charged over the incident as at time of going to print.

Police were joined by South Hedland Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service volunteers who attended the incident at 5pm yesterday.

Snr Sgt Snashall said at the time winds had the potential to spread the fire to surrounding structures but firefighters were able to contain it in an hour.
