Enduro Round One was held at the Port Hedland Motorcycle Club earlier this month, with 19 riders meeting on a 40C day to tackle a 40km track.

Riders including ladies and veterans and everyone in between started racing at 10am, with three hours of endurance racing ahead of them.

With four river crossings to negotiate, wide open flats and some old tracks that have had a hard life, riding was really tough.

Jock Bahen took out first place E1, E2 went to Andrew Fall, and E3 was won by Kevin Hulse.

In the women’s class, first place was won by Amelia Radford, the quad class was taken out by Carlo Pomicano, the veterans class was won by Aiden Chamberland, and Chris Radford took home first place for the masters class.

Chamberland also went away with first place in the overall standings, followed closely By Andrew Fall and Chris Radford.

Thank you to all the club volunteers and sponsors who made this event happen.

The next event will be held on Sunday, May 8, with the Mother’s Day three-hour event.
