Hedland Camera Club snappers let their imaginations run wild last month as they photographed European landscapes and Hedland port and salt works.

Stuart Bell was among those to impress during the club’s May exhibition, winning gold for his photo Water Colour Reflections, which stylistically resembled a water colour painting.

Janelle Cockayne and her picture My Salt and Damien Tully with his Neighbours Not An Issue won silver awards.

Camera club member Nicole Boland said renowned landscape photographer Steve Fraser, who grew up in North West Australia, was the exhibition’s guest judge, providing feedback to participants via a live Skype chat.

“Steve was impressed by the variety of interpretations of the topic in the exhibition,” Ms Boland said.
