Shire awards town airport carpark tender in part

The tender to undertake comprehensive carpark services for Newman Airport was awarded in part at the Shire of East Pilbara council meeting last month.

The Shire split the tender and awarded three provisions to Wilson Parking Australia in the following parts:

Provision of reporting on carpark systems and usage.

Provision of off-site monitoring services.

Provision of general consulting and value-added services.

The parking company was awarded the tender at the price of $18,000 excluding GST per year for a period of two years with an optional one-year extension.

The second part of the Newman Airport tender will be further investigated once the monitoring and reporting services have been awar-ded.

The second part of the tendering involves the maintenance of the existing paid parking infrastructure system and part-replacement of the existing system.
