Tinseltown inspiration

ALEX MASSEYNorth West Telegraph

Forget the Oscars or Golden Globes, students from St Cecilia’s Catholic Primary School put Tinseltown to shame last week with an array of Hollywood-inspired costumes for the annual Book Fair Week parade.

From kindergarten all the way through to Year 7, students engaged their imaginations and went all out to meet the ‘lights, camera, action’ theme.

Teachers got in on the act too with St Cecilia’s principal Paula MacKenzie doing a fair impression of the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.

Book Fair Week coordinator Dee Campbell said the parade was an amazing sight.

“It was also exciting seeing Father Tom and Bishop Justin getting into the spirit of the parade,” Miss Campbell said. “Congratulations to all families on your creativity and dedication to designing such incredible costumes.”
