Hedland's bikini mamas and strongmen flexed their muscles to claim a series of awards at a State-level bodybuilding and fitness competition in Perth last month.

Amy and Danni Terepo and Henry Heta all competed in the International Natural Bodybuilding Association Perth Classic, with Amy impressing in her first competition as she claimed third in the Bikini Mamas and fourth in Bikini First Timers Tall divisions.

Partner Danni also had a great event, taking second in the 77kg-plus weight category as well as third in the Men's Novice and third in Men's Open Class 4.

Fellow Hedland fitness champion Heta led the way as he won three separate divisions - the 77kg-plus weight division, the Men's Intermediate and Men's Open Class 3.

Heta's fiancee, Hailee Kareko, said he fell just short of winning the event's overall title.

Despite missing the crown, Heta's heroics led to him being selected to represent WA in two divisions at the City Nationals in Sydney.

"This is (only) Henry's third event and he showed huge improvement from an already successful 2014," she said, referring to Heta's overall win at last year's INBA North West Championships in Karratha in his first competition.

Kareko also lavished praise on the Terepos.

"Danni is such a big unit (at) 6'4" and (of) Tongan descent - he towers (over) most competitors and with an immaculate physique is quite a sight," she said.

"(Amy also) looked absolutely amazing and as a full-time employee and mother of two (she) definitely (has) huge potential."
