Turtles not frightened to stick their necks out

Conquerors will face some stiff competition in newcomers Turtles tonight as round 9 of the Hedland Touch Association’s season begins.

The undefeated side have gone seven weeks without a loss, including in last week’s game against Blaik Smoke which they won 7-5, putting them at the top of the ladder.

However the Turtles are keen to give the mighty Conquerors a run for their money, after a stunning comeback against Rusty Pipes last week.

The Turtles were down 4-0 at half-time, before levelling the scores 5-all at the final siren.

Rusty Pipes will face Nads at 8.10pm tonight on Field 2 with their second spot on the ladder to be challenged if Crazy Horses win and the Pipes don’t.

Tu Meke plays Jetz, who lost to Crazy Horses last week, with Blaik Smoke to face Crazy Horses in the first game of the night.

In division two, Bad Touch will play No Brakes, Black Panthers will play Anzac Slap and Hornets will play Jaytrain while the high school side will face RSM Chubb.
