,Week left to register for fun run, marathon

There’s still time to register for the Newman half marathon and family fun run.

Registrations close next Wednesday, July 27, and are open to Newman residents and visitors of all ages.

The run will start at 7am on Sunday, July 31, from Goanna Oval.

Runners can participate in the 21.1km marathon, 7km race, 4km race or 2.4km family fun run.

There are many prizes to be won, including best costume, best dressed family, corporate cup and the fastest team.

The Shire is also looking for volunteers to help out on the day.

Teams or individuals can register at the Newman Recreation Centre, Aquatic Centre and the Shire administration office.
