Locals have a second chance to form a new women’s football league committee after just one person attended the first meeting last week. manager Vicki Agnew announced a meeting last week for the women’s sport however, despite the incredible response on social media only one person attended.

“If we don’t get the numbers it wont happen,” she said.

“While I will be around, the committees must be run by local communities.”

In the past, Port Hedland has struggled to get the numbers for a local league with women mostly having to travel for carnivals to play games.

This year however, Ms Agnew hopes women will reflect theform a new women’s football committee after just one person attended the first meeting last week.
