Man dies after being hit by car crossing Riverside Drive between Plain St & Victoria Ave near Langley Park

A man has died after he was hit by a car while crossing a road near Langley Park.
Police said they responded to the crash on Riverside Drive following reports a man was hit by a grey Toyota Camry sedan about 8.40am on Thursday.
A St John WA spokeswoman said three ambulances rushed to the scene before a man in his 50s was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital.
Police later said the man, aged 56, died from his injuries at hospital.
The car was travelling west when the man was crossing the road.
The parked Toyota, with a smashed windscreen, was photographed by major crash investigators on Thursday morning.
The car was eventually towed away from the scene just after midday.
Police were observed collecting clothes strewn across grass more than 50 metres behind where the Toyota stopped.
Major crash investigators are probing the incident and urge anyone with dash-cam or mobile phone vision to contact Crime Stoppers.
The road was closed in both directions between Plain St and Victoria Ave by emergency services before reopening about 12.15pm.
