Man accused of commercial burglaries appears in court

East Pilbara Detectives have charged a 28-year-old South Hedland man for his alleged involvement in a series of commercial and industrial burglaries.

Christopher Anthony Wilson appeared at the South Hedland Magistrates Court last Friday and has been remanded in custody, with his matter adjourned until September 22.

Magistrate Deen Potter read out the charges which included alleged burglaries at the Subway in South Hedland, Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce, Silver Star Café, Komayaka Oriental Restaurant in South Hedland, Port Hedland Post Office, Dreamtime Northwest Constructions in Wedgefield, Totaline and Edgar Street Medical Centre.

Mr Wilson has also been charged two counts each of attempted burglary and possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property and one count each of stealing a motor vehicle and aggravated burglary.

It is alleged the incidents occurred between July 27 and August 13 this year.
