Perth weather: Bureau of Meteorology forecasts possible thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon

Perth could be in for a wet and windy end to the week, with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting the chance of a thunderstorm for the next three days.
Meteorologist Miriam Bradbury said there is a low-pressure trough generating unstable conditions in the South West and those conditions could move up towards Perth.
“We’ll also see strong easterly winds increasing across the South West Land Division, pushing towards Perth at times,” Ms Bradbury said.
The BoM forecasts a medium chance of showers on Thursday and the chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening.
More rain is forecast for Perth on Friday and the northern suburbs is expected to be hit by a thunderstorm.
Despite the stormy weather, maximum temperatures over the next week are not expected to drop below 26C.
Saturday will be the hottest day of the week, reaching a maximum of 30C, while Friday will be the coldest at 26C.

SATURDAY: 30C, medium chance of showers and chance of a thunderstorm
SUNDAY: 29C, medium chance of showers and chance of a thunderstorm
MONDAY: 28C, medium chance of showers
TUESDAY: 27C, mostly sunny
WEDNESDAY: 29C, mostly sunny
