Baseball WA and Streamer have joined forces in 2024-25, with the Harcher State League Series and the new Women’s Elite Series to be streamed exclusively on the platform this season.

Starting this Friday with a showdown between UWA and Carine, Streamer will broadcast every Friday night fixture through the men’s season and a Wednesday night fixture throughout the new women’s season, beginning on October 16.

“We are excited to take our broadcasts to the next level with Streamer livestreams bringing you all the action right from Empire Ballpark,” BWA Competitions Manager Jes Fitzgerald said.

“Thank you to Streamer for helping us elevate our streaming program and showcasing the amazing talent of our grassroots game.”

Braves, Wanneroo Giants and Morley Eagles are tipped to be three teams to watch this season, with a young Vic Park Belmont nipping at their heels. The likes of Team Australia and Perth Heat captain Tim Kennelly, Warwick Saupold and Alex Hall are set to be key players to watch.

The introduction of the Women’s Elite Series to the WA landscape is particularly exciting, with the Carine Cats, Kalamunda Rangers, Wanneroo Giants and Braves to take part after a restructure of existing women’s and youth girls competitions.

Streamer operations manager Nick Rynne said the partnership with Baseball WA was an exciting one for the sport and the platform.

“We’ve been witnessing the momentum behind baseball over the past 12 months through our involvement with Perth Heat, so to expand our relationship with the sport is fantastic,” he said.

“This is such a great time for baseball worldwide, and we can’t wait to get behind the game locally and showcase the great work being done in the WA community.”
