Rory Lobb 9: Best on ground. Booted four long-range goals and was an imposing target up forward.

Luke Ryan 8.5: Rolled off his opponent Josh Bruce well and provided excellent drive from defence.

Caleb Serong 8: Clearance work was brilliant from the get-go. Helped the Dockers get on top in the midfield battle.

Darcy Tucker 7.5: Made the most of his call-up, connecting well with his forwards with an equal game-high 10 score involvements.

Lachie Schultz 7.5: Enjoyed his best game in a while. Defensive pressure was up and used the ball well by foot.

Blake Acres 7: Another player who lifted after a quiet few weeks. Found a lot of the footy and work rate was elite.

Andrew Brayshaw 7: Two-way running and defensive efforts were particularly impressive.

Jordan Clark 7: Provided his usual dash from half-back but his game will be remembered for an important and courageous defensive play in the third quarter when the Bulldogs were coming.

David Mundy 6.5: Was pure class with his delivery inside 50 in the third quarter and showed he’s still got plenty left in the tank.

Nathan O’Driscoll 6.5: Kicked goal of the match with a brilliant long-range effort on the run in the third term. Took the game on and gave some good run in his return.

Michael Frederick 6.5: Booted three goals including the sealer midway through the final term to cap off a good game.

Sean Darcy 6: Had a see-sawing ruck battle with Tim English but was better for longer.

Griffin Logue 6: Was good up forward and gave Darcy a chop out in the ruck as well.

Brennan Cox 6: Did some nice things down back and kept Jamarra Ugle-Hagan goalless.

Will Brodie 5: Had a huge third term but was overall down on his usual ball-winning exploits.

Alex Pearce 5: Intercepted well but had his hands full with key forward Aaron Naughton who booted three goals and led the Bulldogs’ third-quarter revival.

Heath Chapman 5: Took 11 marks for the match but couldn’t contain his opponent Cody Weightman, who kicked three.

Matt Taberner 5: Returned to form after a lean patch with two first-quarter goals before suffering a calf injury in the third.

Hayden Young 5: A reliable contributor in the back half without starring.

James Aish 5: Had a big say in the second quarter but was otherwise pretty quiet.

Michael Walters 4.5: Kicked a goal and set up another but wasn’t among the best.

Liam Henry 2: Came on at three-quarter time for injured spearhead Taberner but didn’t have a massive impact.
