Hunt for gunman as shots fired at car with baby inside
Video footage has captured the moment shots were allegedly fired into a car with a baby inside during a suspected criminal deal.
Police have appealed for public help after CCTV showed a person firing shots at a car in southwest Sydney last year.
Video of the incident at Greenacre on December 28 shows a figure dressed in black approaching a Mazda 3 and firing shots in broad daylight.
Officers found damage consistent with bullets being fired at the vehicle, empty bullet casings and damage to a fence.
Police believe three shots were fired at the Mazda 3 while a four-month-old baby was inside, during an allegedly illegal transaction.
Two females and four males with possible links to organised criminal gangs were involved in the transaction, police believe.
The shooter allegedly then fled the scene in an a black Toyota Camry, before getting into a grey Hyundai Veloster near Bankstown.
Anyone with dashcam video of the incident has been urged to come forward.
