AFL Watch: Tom Cole, Bailey Williams push for West Coast recall after strong performances against Perth

A West Coast premiership player and No.1 ruckman were part of the 16 AFL listed players who turned out for the Eagles’ WAFL side in a loss to Perth. We take a look at how they fared. Bo Allan: Provided drive and composure in defence as he continues to close in on an AFL debut. Harry Barnett: Developing as a defender. Kept Sam Stubbs goalless but couldn’t find the footy. Rhett Bazzo: Started on Perth spearhead Aaron Clarke but after a tough time was swapped out. Played better as a result and ended up with 26 touches and eight marks. Sandy Brock: Put up a good fight against Demons goalkicker Aaron Clarke late but struggled against the supply as Perth took over. Tyler Brockman: Went goalless but did some good work at the clearances and at half forward. Had only the 10 touches. Malakai Champion: Kicked two late goals after being quiet for most of the game. Still developing. Tom Cole: Was excellent down back where he was composed and collected 32 disposals. There are few braver players. Lucca Grego: Continues to build his game but got out-muscled at times by Perth’s bigger bodies. Clay Hall: Responded to AFL axing with 26 disposals and seven inside-50s in a good performance. Harvey Johnston: Ran hard all game both ways and did his best against a stellar Perth midfield outfit. Coen Livingstone: Was an excellent lead up target and was unlucky to not have kicked more than one goal. Noah Long: Laid several crunching tackles and worked hard around the ground to have an impact. Jack Petruccelle: Didn’t use his pace or football nous to impact the contest as he would’ve liked. Loch Rawlinson: Played a mix of midfield and up forward. Kicked two goals from 12 touches. Jobe Shanahan: Kicked two goals but was starved of opportunities as a lead-up forward. Bailey Williams: Was arguably the best player in the first half after being dropped from AFL side.
