Mirrabooka: Police hunting arsonists after cars set alight outside Wungening Aboriginal Corporation building

The arson squad is hunting those responsible for setting two cars parked outside an Aboriginal corporation office alight on two separate days at the weekend.
Police said the fires occurred outside a Wungening Aboriginal Corporation building on Chesterfield Road in Mirrabooka across Saturday and Sunday nights.

The first blaze happened when offenders smashed the window of a Kia Cerato before setting it alight about 9pm on Saturday.
“DFES extinguished the fire, and the vehicle sustained fire and smoke damage,” a police spokeswoman said.
Police driving past the business about 7.20pm on Sunday then found two cars — the same Kia and a Kia Carnival station wagon — engulfed by flames.

Firefighters put out the fires.
Arson Squad investigators have conducted a fire scene examination, and the incidents are being treated as deliberate.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
