Police continue to search for a prospector who has been missing in the WA outback for more than a week.

Barry Podmore was last seen in the Karroun Hills area, in the Mid West, on December 4.

He was spoken to over the phone on December 5.

Mr Podmore is believed to be travelling in his Mercedes Benz that is painted camouflage and has the the registration MM151.

The car may have been sighted travelling north-east of Beacon towards the Karroun Hills Nature Reserve on Friday, December 6.

Police and family have been unable to contact him and are concerned for his welfare.

Mr Podmore is described as a Caucasian male, about 170cm tall, of solid build with short grey hair and hazel eyes.

If seen, members of the public are advised to contact police immediately on 131 444.
