Charity home is almost ready
The Landcorp Variety Pilbara Charity Home in Pretty Pool is on track for completion and will be auctioned on June 9.
Fortescue Metals Group group manager approvals and government relations Deidre Willmott, who inspected the progress of the house on a visit to Hedland last week, said she was impressed at how quickly the project had come together.
“We’re very proud at FMG to be a part of the project,” she said.
“The house is really starting to look great, it is so impressive that a charity home can be built to this standard in a place like Pretty Pool.
“It is great to see how local businesses have come together to help out for a good cause.”
Jan Ford Real Estate agent and auctioneer Brett Philp said he was confident enthusiasm for the property would be high.
“Being an auction it’s hard to give a figure on what the house will go for, we really won’t know until the day,” he said.
“But with the property market like this, a high-quality house like this one is sure to do well.”
The charity home is being made possible by a community partnership between Variety WA, FMG, Landcorp and Custom Construction.
All proceeds from the home will go to Variety WA and help empower WA children with special needs.
