The West End Markets are back for 2016, kicking off on Saturday, April 30 with a craft edition featuring a variety of local and WA handmade products.

FORM Regional Programs co-ordinator Katie Evans said selected stallholders would also be demonstrating how they produced their products to the public.

“The community is invited to learn how to croquet, dye, screen print and much more,” she said.

“Guest artist Rebecca Fogarty, from leather makers Hammered, will be selling her leather kits, and the community are welcome to make the bags, wallets and belts there at the markets at a special dedicated site.

“Or if you wanted to participate in a more details skills workshop, she’ll be hosting one at the Spinifex Hill Studios on the same day.

“Children will also be able to participate in a weaving project using recycled dvds and fabric offcuts, have their face painted or even try a henna tattoo.”

Ms Evans said new food trucks, a pop-up craft beer stall and live music from Kaadance would be an exciting new feature of the upcoming markets .
