Police seek witnesses to fatal crash

Major crash officers are seeking witnesses to a crash in Port Hedland which claimed the life of a 36 year old man on Sunday 11 December.

About 9.15pm, the man was walking south along the Great Northern Highway near Wilson Street when he was struck by a Ford Utility.

Tragically the man died from his injuries.

A 34-year-old man was charged with dangerous driving causing death and DUI and will appear in South Hedland Magistrates Court on Monday 19 December.

Police are seeking any witnesses to the incident - in particular, the driver of a northbound prime mover towing a single trailer who is believed to have witnessed the incident.
