Aussie soccer heroes the Matildas have been snapped out and about on the streets of Melbourne on Tuesday after their magical 4-0 win over Canada.

The team, who needed a win to go through to the last 16 of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, were spotted strolling in their teal tracksuits and on top of the world — or at least group B.

Hayley Raso was on the double for the Matildas in the first half, while Mary Fowler and Stephanie Catley rounded out the scoresheet.

Injured superstar Sam Kerr, who was an unused substitute in the do-or-die final group stage match on Monday night, was spotted laughing and high-fiving a young fan on the streets of Melbourne.

Mary Fowler let her hair down after her amazing performance and was seen strolling arm-in-arm with Charli Grant, who came off the bench in the game’s final minutes.

Defender Alanna Kennedy and goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold had plenty to laugh about, sharing a joke while grabbing a morning coffee.

Arnold produced a fine stop in the dying stages of the game to maintain a clean sheet despite spending most of the game untroubled in goals.

Ellie Carpenter, who was seen flanked by teammates Teagan Michah & Clare Hunt, gave it her all after their last harrowing loss to Nigeria but cost Mary Fowler’s first goal on the scoreboard when she was declared off-side.

The Tillies’ aesthetically pleasing travel kits mirrored the ocean-inspired away strips they wore last night.

While an official reason hasn’t been given as to why they weren’t in their usual green and gold, the squad was listed as the “away” team on the fixture.

No doubt they will be watching on eagerly tonight to find out who they will take on in the round of 16 next week, when the runner-up of group D is determined from the Haiti v Denmark and China v England matches.
